Media and Entertainment Skills Council is a non-profit organization that was formed in 2012. It operates under the guidelines of NSDC (National Skills Development Corporation) which is a financial supporter of MESC while FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry) is the promoter of MESC. The council is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860.. The major objective of the MESC is to generate industry-ready skilled manpower, vocalization of secondary and higher secondary educational levels and also to enhance employability options for the youth through demand-driven competency-based modular courses. MESC plays an important role not only in opening doors for the youth but the long-term focus is on the revolution of M&E Education and Industry. The idea is to fill the gaps among the educated and employable to bring forth a reduction in the dropout rate in the secondary level of education.
● To conduct skill gap study and develop occupational standards.
● To initiate skills cataloguing for Media and Entertainment Industry.
● To determine skills/competency standards and qualifications and getting them noted as per NSQF
● To create skills development plan with industry stakeholders, government agencies and NSDC to setup Labour Market Information System (LMIS). To ensure the standardization of affiliation, accreditation and assessment process aligned with NSQF guidelines as determined by NSQC.
● To identify and create of certified trainers and assessors across the Country
● To promote Academies of Excellence.
● To look into the specific skilling needs of ST/SC, differently abled and other minorities. • To plan and facilitate the execution of the Training of Trainers Program along with NSDC and states
● MESC also makes certain that the people getting training and skilling in accordance with the norms laid down are assured of employment at decent wages.

● मीडिया और मनोरंजन उद्योग के लिए कौशल सूचीकरण शुरू करना।
● कौशल/योग्यता मानकों और योग्यताओं का निर्धारण करना और उन्हें एनएसक्यूएफ के अनुसार नोट कराना।
● श्रम बाजार सूचना प्रणाली (एलएमआईएस) स्थापित करने के लिए उद्योग हितधारकों, सरकारी एजेंसियों और एनएसडीसी के साथ कौशल विकास योजना बनाना। एनएसक्यूसी द्वारा निर्धारित एनएसक्यूएफ दिशानिर्देशों के अनुरूप संबद्धता, मान्यता और मूल्यांकन प्रक्रिया के मानकीकरण को सुनिश्चित करना।
● देश भर में प्रमाणित प्रशिक्षकों और मूल्यांकनकर्ताओं की पहचान करना और उनका निर्माण करना
● उत्कृष्टता अकादमियों को बढ़ावा देना।
● एसटी/एससी, दिव्यांगों और अन्य अल्पसंख्यकों की विशिष्ट कौशल आवश्यकताओं पर ध्यान देना। • एनएसडीसी और राज्यों के साथ प्रशिक्षकों के प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम के कार्यान्वयन की योजना बनाना और सुविधा प्रदान करना
● एमईएससी यह भी सुनिश्चित करता है कि निर्धारित मानदंडों के अनुसार प्रशिक्षण और कौशल प्राप्त करने वाले लोगों को उचित वेतन पर रोजगार का आश्वासन दिया जाए।.
The Indian government established the "Skill India Mission" to improve the workforce's abilities in a variety of industries. Empowering people with appropriate skills and giving them the training, they need to fulfil the changing needs of the labour market is the main objective of this mission. It seeks to close the skills gap between what industries need and what the workforce possesses. This program also aims to boost young job prospects and encourage economic growth.
This is where the Media & Entertainment Skill Council is working towards creating a skilled workforce in the M&E sector with its Skill India Certificate. MESC’s Skill India Certification is a valuable asset for everyone in the Media and entertainment sector. One of MESC's objectives is educating the public about the value of skill development in the M&E sector, which is crucial for staying up to date with the rapidly changing trends and technologies in this fast-paced field.
भारत सरकार ने विभिन्न उद्योगों में कार्यबल की क्षमताओं में सुधार के लिए "कौशल भारत मिशन" की स्थापना की। लोगों को उचित कौशल के साथ सशक्त बनाना और उन्हें श्रम बाजार की बदलती जरूरतों को पूरा करने के लिए प्रशिक्षण देना इस मिशन का मुख्य उद्देश्य है। इसका उद्देश्य उद्योगों को क्या चाहिए और कार्यबल के पास क्या है, के बीच कौशल अंतर को कम करना है। इस कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य युवा नौकरी की संभावनाओं को बढ़ावा देना और आर्थिक विकास को प्रोत्साहित करना भी है।
यहीं पर मीडिया और मनोरंजन कौशल परिषद अपने कौशल भारत प्रमाणपत्र के साथ एम एंड ई क्षेत्र में एक कुशल कार्यबल बनाने की दिशा में काम कर रही है। एमईएससी का स्किल इंडिया सर्टिफिकेशन मीडिया और मनोरंजन क्षेत्र में सभी के लिए एक मूल्यवान संपत्ति है। एमईएससी के उद्देश्यों में से एक एम एंड ई क्षेत्र में कौशल विकास के मूल्य के बारे में जनता को शिक्षित करना है, जो इस तेजी से बढ़ते क्षेत्र में तेजी से बदलते रुझानों और प्रौद्योगिकियों के साथ अद्यतित रहने के लिए महत्वपूर्ण है।
